Livestock Transport Group Advise Availability of Bulk Permits
Livestock Transport Group's Scone manager Jeff Watt has advised that LTG has DPI Bulk Movement Permits to allow travelling of mares into and within the NSW Purple Zone until October 31 - the deadline for horse movements into the zone.
"While an individual's application for a permit will take time, we have the necessary permits already in place so it is simply a matter of leaving it to us.
"Mare owners who think that the delay in getting permits will affect their chances of getting their mare to the stallion and in foal need not worry. There are plenty of reports out there where people are complaining about the time it takes to get a permit from the DPI.
"So, I thought it might be a good idea to let people know that it doesn't have to be complicated. We also have an additional Bulk Movement Permit to move horses form Victoria to the Purple Zone." said Watt.
